Didn't imagine that Shou-kun master heading shoot in 1 day :)
With Masaru coach they will be an awesome team ^.^
Haven't seen this kind of coach since Roberto Hongo...they both seem to have experienced pretty hard stuff in their career. According to the flashbacks he was a known player and he also seems to have been a coach at some point.
Also been watching the ending today for the first time and I'm interested who the 2nd girl is. After watching Area no Kishi I can't get out of my head that it could be Erika-Chan miraculously getting thin like Araki. I know that's most certainly BS, but the hair- and the eye-colour match.
I loved this episode. It does seem like something happened to Masaru in the past, but I hope he decides to be their coach, which is most likely going to happen.
I'm liking Shou more and more every episode. I really love his positive attitude and how he doesn't give up despite the fact he doesn't have the same skills as the others. However, it seems to me that he will become better than the rest like Misaki mentioned, he will be amazing in the future!!
That reminded me of Shaolin Football or what was the name again, when that guy misses the penalty kick and people start attacking him and they broke his leg if I'm not mistaken. Great episode. Masaru must be really good if he can balance the ball and shoot straight in his drunken state. Drunken football, now that'd be hilarious.

That's too dark imo.
I'd say he probably missed the game winning penalty and afterward he lost confidence in himself and quit soccer.
