USA Today Bestselling Author Lacey Silks writes seat-gripping romantic suspense with heat and spice. She’s married to most of her characters and tortures her husband with quirky book roles. Lacey’s two kids and her dog Kygo fill her time with homework questions and sweet licks all over her face (the dog not the kids).
When she’s not writing seat-gripping and heart-throbbing stories, Lacey enjoys camping and skiing with her family. She’s an early bird by nature and drinks coffee instead of water, because that’s how her busy billionaire heroes do it.
Lacey’s flawed and relatable characters fill the pages with laughter, snark and tears. She judges men by the size of their feet, loves sexy lingerie, and can’t live without her “boost juice”: coffee.
If you’ve read Mine: A Stepbrother Romance, then you’re already familiar with Danny Holmes and Bianca Chou, supporting characters in that book. But if you haven’t, it’s not necessary to follow this story although I highly recommend Mine if for no other reason then it’s a fun, sweet, and sexy story.
So Danny and Bianca became acquainted when she participated on a tropical island Bachelor style reality show, and Danny was posing as the butler though really he was the best friend of the bachelor.
“In the biblical sense we’re pretty close. We just never talked all that much.”
Now it’s a month later and the two have reunited for a cruise, her consolation prize from the show. Bianca’s hoping this new adventure will provide them with time to connect beyond the physical; meanwhile Danny hopes he can keep up the pretense of having more money than he really does.
Though this is a novella, it actually has good story development. The only places it seemed to fall a little short is on the love scenes which often get derailed by other hijinks. Perhaps for that reason I couldn’t quite determine the chemistry between them. What can I say, I sorta craved more action with Danny’s danglies ;-)
Speaking of Danny, he’s quite a good guy, a real catch. A med student, he seemed solid and stable but with a fun, flirty demeanor that was cute.
“‘Your arse does this cute little wiggle when I smack it, and when you come, the way you moan grips me by the balls and nearly unmans me.’”
I really felt bad for him when their vacation kept going awry. Bianca was just okay. Even though the events that befall them weren’t technically her fault, for some reason I still felt like she needed to up her game to be more worthy of such a good guy like Danny. None the less, I was still rooting for them to have things go their way.
Told via Danny and Bianca’s first person point of view, the story also interweaves cameos from characters featured in Kim Linwood’s previous books—a nice treat to revisit some old favorites.
Witch in the Window is one of the selections in this collection, and if it's any indication, the rest of the stories must be wonderfully written examples of romance that will captivate the reader and have them asking for more. This particular selection is the eleventh novella in the Bend-Bite-Shift series and if you aren't familiar with it, do yourself a favor and get started. This story opens up a whole new avenue of exploration into the lives of supernatural children who have been rescued by members of the Renegades and raised in an orphanage for magical children. It is but a part of a larger whole and should be read in its entirety to get the big picture. Ms. Hardin is a wonderful writer and this is one of her magical worlds. The characters are dynamic, the plots well developed and the resolutions satisfying. I highly recommend it. I received an ARC of Witch in the Window in exchange for an honest review.
I have read the story written by Olivia Hardin. There is not a book that she has ever written I just didn't devour. I love her Bend Bite series this short story did not disappoint me in the very least. Up love how she builds her characters into three dimensional people. These characters are magical yes but they are deeply routed into a normal routine and environment. I really hope there is more coming in the future from Rinu and Chelsea. I would love to see this short story turned into a possible spin-off series. I would highly recommend this story and I can't wait to read some of the other stories in this box set. If the other stories are as good as Olivia's it would definitely hit it out of the ballpark.
Review of Two Wingmen and a baby by Daisy Prescott.
Gaaaah!!! This short story was so perfect but still not enough. I need more John, Tom & baby Day!
If you aren't familiar with Ready to Fall and the Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat, do yourself a favor and get on it.
This story opens up a new adventure for THE WINGMEN. Something that a year ago they don't believe it was possible. A baby, yes, John Day is now a father. And Tom Cat helps him to babysit. LMAO!!!
Believe me, you have to meet these two. They are a pair of amazing characters. Theirs stories are sexy & funny. And you will end as happy as a piglet in shit.
OK, so I only read Olivia Hardin's story "Witch In The Window", and it was amazing!! It grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading!! I'm not the kind of reviewer who basically tells you the whole story, all I will say is very steamy, great story and it leaves you wanting more!!
If you love Olivia Hardin, you'll love this story!!!
Another fantastic collection of 14 delicious romance stories by some amazing authors. This collection has some sweet, fun, and sizzling-hot stories. If you like stories packed with hot and sexy hit men, new neighbors, moguls, shifters, bosses, military men, motorcycle guys, and rock stars, then you definitely need to read this collection. Once you start reading, you won't want to put it down.
I was given an ARC for an honest review for Yours by Kim Linwood which is included in this collection. If you're a fan of short, funny, romance about a sexy Englishman and an American woman, with sweet love and dirty sex... you must read this story.
I read Sky Corgans delicious story of menage. It was Red hot and sizzling. Apparently two much for you! Two stunning hunts across the street, working on cars with no shirts. Imagine peeking through your windows and getting caught. Then you find they are on a meet up matching site and they come to your door with a hot crazy offer for two...
I definitely recommend this hot menage!

I got this boxed set for Dream On by Blair Babylon. This is an epilogue # 1 to Georgie and Alesandre not sure that I like this epilogue. I want Georgie and Alesandre to get what they want and happily ever after. I hope it's coming. It was good to see Georgie and Alesandre are still holding each other together and falling apart. With everything that's happened it could very easily happen. All the stories are fast reads. I hope there is more to come from Blair Babylon and Georgie and Alexandre.
I started with BOOK 2 - Dream On by Blair Babylon, this quick peak into my favourite Rock star pair from Killer Valentine, Alexandre and Georgie, are late for a very important date, the story was short and sweet and made me want more. I have read all of Xan and Georgies books and I have to say I have not read one of Blair's books that I did not like, Blair has a great way of making a story great but also weaving the passion of music into the fabric of the story.
I then jumped to - Witch In the Window (Bend-Bite-Shift Next Gen-1 by ~ Olivia Hardin - which I am loving so far and I will update this review when I have finished this story. READ THE REVIEW BELOW.
I would grab these books while they are on special as I am happy just after reading 1.5 books - they make great Lunch time reads.
I am going to add the rest below: and then will add my review under as I read through.

8) Witch In the Window (Bend-Bite-Shift Next Gen-1 by ~ Olivia Hardin ~ As if college finals aren't bad enough, Chelsea's witch radar tells her the delivery man who frequents her front door is more than he seems to be.
REVIEW
This is a short story that introduces you to flat mates and childhood friends Chelsea and Adam and the Rinu the deliver driver. The story doesn't give much away but it has intrigued me to want to investigate further into this world. Who are the Black Arts Cartel (the baddie's) will Chelsea and Ring manage to evade being forced to join them? and whats going to happen to adam after he runs off to heal his broken heart?....

9) Right: A Hitman Romance by V. J. Chambers ~ Giovanni Gallo meant to kill Sable Clarke, not fall for her. What seems wrong actually turns out to be something so right.
REVIEW
Its OK total fiction escapism . A bit of a wild naughty mafia romp. Lots of sex and two people who are ready for fate to draw them onto a better path.
********* 10) Tutoring the Wolf by Jacqueline Sweet & Devon March ~ When she's forced to tutor to a bad boy shifter, Cassie has no idea how much she'll learn about herself, or how much fun she'll have doing it.
REVIEW...
A cross between hogwarts and a college romance between the high society witch and the wrong side of the tracks werewolf. Cassie is ridged in her studies and her life plan. An arranged marriage and a respectable career. But t all goes out the window when she agrees to tutor Malcolm the 'Afflicted' student.
This has been my second favourite story and its a good length too.
************
11) Blooming Hearts by Felicia Tatum ~ First love blooms as Francesca and Cade slowly begin their descent into the depths of true love.
REVIEW
I couldn't get into this story so I skipped it. I may try again after reading the rest but it just didn't really grab my attention like the others did.
12) Taking Charge by Shannon Macallan ~ Miranda expects Charleston to be hot, humid and boring as hell. What she finds instead is an entirely different heat with a cadet from a South Carolina military academy.
REVIEW
So jack and Miranda's story was a change. I thought it was going to be a typical military romance. But the author gave it a bit of a twist. Its a sweet story with a happy ending.

A lot of different stories, my favorites where "witch in the window by Olivia Hardin", "tutoring the wolf by Jacqueline Sweet and Devon March" and the very last one "Chasing Shadows by Sophia Barron" you get a lot for the very low price it costs.
I bought this box set because a lot of my favourite authors have been included in it. Not only that there is a good cross section of genres and they are all new stories, so the box set definitely offers variety and value for money. Below are the three stories I have read so far, and for which I also received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and I am hoping these alone are enough to tempt readers into buying this exceptional box set:
Review for: Too Much For You by Sky Corgan
Devlin and Gareth have known each other since middle school. Devlin is the practical joker, while Gareth is the serious one; perhaps this is why they balance each other out so well. Together they make the ultimate person, but finding a girl who wants to date two men who are into polyamory is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Jumping into the dating game after five years of being single is so much harder than Rose thought it would be; all the guys she meets are either players or losers. What she is looking for is someone to settle down with – surely there is someone else out there looking for love. Meanwhile, Rose’s new neighbours have been fulfilling her fantasies ever since they moved in, but she is embarrassed when she is caught spying on them. Realistically, Rose believes they are too perfect for her and doubts she is the type of girl they would go for - but she is so wrong! Devlin and Gareth are forthright when they approach Rose after seeing her profile on a dating app. and invite her for dinner, with no strings attached. 8.00 p.m. comes and goes and when there is no sign of Rose the two men become despondent. Then at 8.13 p.m. the doorbell rings; may be they have not been stood up after all and the night is just about to begin. Is there a worthwhile relationship in the offing after all?
Review for: Yours by Kim Linwood
Bianca didn’t win the reality show, the one where she was vying to marry a billionaire; she doesn’t regret it for a second, after all if she hadn’t been there she wouldn’t have met Danny. But it isn’t until they are apart that Bianca realises how little they know about each other; now she has agreed to share a luxury suite with him on a two-week cruise. Danny is living in London and she lives in New York – how can they possible make this work? Danny knows that he and Bianca connected physically, but this cruise was about something more; no camera crews, sleazy hosts, meddling best friends or ridiculous drama – just the two of them. Bianca wants to talk and for them to get to know each other, but Danny is hiding a secret, and it is only when Bianca’s grandmother becomes ill that matters start to unravel. Bianca realises that Danny has given her the Danny he thought she wanted, not the real Danny. Can he now trust her to do the same; to love him for him, not what he can do for her?
Review for: Tutoring the Wolf by Jacqueline Sweet
As the hardest working witch at Penrose Academy of Magical Excellence, Cassie is sure she has aced her test; now all she has to do is pass her final exams, graduate, marry Anoxamander and her life will be perfect. But Cassie is stunned when she finds out that instead of acing her test, she has failed it; not only that she is told that her theories, while excellent, were unimaginative. Coming to an agreement with her mother, who is also the Dean of Academics, Cassie agrees to tutor Mal, a student who is failing all his classes - not realising she has been set up. Mal’s Alpha has sent him to Penrose to learn to control both his magic and his wolf. Before he was bitten, Mal was the lead singer and guitarist in a band, but his werewolf senses now make him erratic and out of control. Cassie soon comes to realise that she has been tutoring Mal all wrong; he did not need to kindle his talents, just control them, and she searches for ways to help Mal focus his gifts. In just half a week Cassie has been able to teach Mal more than any of his Professors have, but she wonders if he really needs her anymore. Mal wants to repay her somehow, but then she hits him square in the heart when he least expects it. Suddenly Cassie’s life too becomes completely upended. Mal’s wolf knows she is in trouble and she needs him. This was an excellent story to read, which I enjoyed very much.
Yours by Kim Linwood: I received this for a honest review. I just love Kim Linwoods books. The thing I love about this book is you get to see some different characters from some of her other books. I always love when an author does that. We were introduced to Bianca and Danny in a previous book. Oh, don’t worry this book works fine as a standalone.
Bianca has a big heart and she is really putting her heart out there by inviting Danny to go with her on this cruise. She really likes Danny and is not certain how Danny feels about her. While she is waiting for Danny to arrive she is wondering if he is going to be a no show as the minutes tick by.
Danny is such a great guy. He had really hit if off with Bianca. He is has a secret and was wonder how Bianca was going to take the news. He was not everything she thought he was. The question is does he really think Bianca is really that shallow to even think she would care about such things.
I love how Danny truly wanted to give Bianca the moon. She had stolen his heart and he was going to move heaven and earth to win her heart. He is everything she could of hoped for him to be. He is doing his best to take it slow as she requested but it is becoming very hard for him.
There are so many good parts in the book. You will even find yourself laughing so hard. Bianca’s mother is just so funny. Well you will have to read the book to find out why I say that. I do believe Danny had won the hearts of Bianca’s family. It was great read about the love that Bianca and Danny have and watching it grow and bloom into something so much more. Truly a book I would highly recommend.
Two much for You by Sky Corgan: I received this for a honest review. This was a great story. I do hope to see more of Gareth, Devlin, and Rose. I feel they like there is more of a story to tell on these three.
Gareth and Devlin have been best befriends since they were very young. Though they were not bi they were very close. Both had a very busy life and felt they could not give a 100% to a relationship if they pursue one on their own. They wanted a girl that was willing to accept them both. Between the two of them they could give one girl all the attention should would desire and crave. Come admit it, what girl has not fantasies about being in a relationship with two men.
Rose was this pretty curvy woman. She was enjoying spying on her two hot neighbors. They were ever girls dream. She truly felt they were out of her league. Rose had been on a dating app and low and behold who does she find on the same dating app but the two smoking hotties themselves. Problem is there was only one profile and she could not determine which guy it belonged to.
This is a great story. I will say they guys did let Rose know they were interested and invited her over. Things will get hot and heavy. It truly is a story worth reading
BUMPY RIDE -Olivia Rigal Bunny is working at a bar while getting her degree in hospitality. She meets Doc there who is doing his residency and also belongs to a biker group. He leaves for months and never contacts her. When she finds out she's pregnant, she moves back home to be near her family. Doc finally rides back into town wanting to see Bunny. When he finds out she's gone, he tracks her down in her home town. Circumstances, and a jealous woman, conspire to keep them apart. When they do finally see each other again, I think Bunny was too easy on him, and forgave him too soon. He never called her all the months he was away, but thinks of her as his girl, and expects her to be there waiting for him. A little bit arrogant. He's a good guy, but needs to give her a little more respect. I didn't understand the biker groups in this book. I couldn't figure out whether they were good or bad. There was a mention that Doc's group was going to be selling pharmaceutical drugs illegally, and he seemed OK with it , which was weird him being a doctor. And Bunny's dad is in charge of a biker group, and her dad is shot. I haven't read the other books in the series, so maybe it would have been clearer if I had. I liked Bunny. Her parents were divorced, and she had quite a few siblings and half siblings. She was close to her family, and had a lot of love and support from them. She was strong and didn't let anything get her down. CHASING SHADOW- Sophia Barron & Alana Hart This is a short read in a continuing series called The Guardians Of Espen. It is about witches, shapeshifters, gods, and a very powerful young child. It was fun to see the characters again, find out how they have been, and how Faith (the incredible child) has been growing. She is so powerful that when she is angry or wants something destruction could happen. She has to learn to control herself, but she is so young. The adults who surround her must lovingly correct her and steer her towards a positive future and using her powers for good. I love this series, and hope there are more books to come. YOURS- Kim Linwood Bianca and Danny met and fell in love while on a reality show. They meet one month later to go on a cruise together. Because if their whirlwind romance they really don't know each other that well. This is their chance, alone on a cruise, to learn about each other. Will their relationship sink or swim? These two had a few misconceptions about each other, but their love is strong. Danny was so loving and supportive of Bianca. A great guy. I was given review copies of these stories so I haven't yet read all of the stories included in this anthology. These three stories alone were worth the price of the book.
Banshee Sarah Cradit: The stories of this family and their exploits never ceases to amaze me. This time we have the story of Gisselle, her gift and how she used her special family "gift" to get what she most desired. Oz. As the story unfolds (it is a short yet powerful one) we find the background of Janie and more of Gisselle's travels. Ms Cradit has a way of twisting and toying with your emotions with each detailed unraveled in her stories. And yes they are unraveled, but oh what a pleasure it becomes. The story is fascinating yet sad in its own way and definitely worth the read.
Blooming Hearts Felicia Tatum: A tale of blossoming young love is bittersweet. As we see thru the eyes of a teen just how painful and long lasting the effects can be. We watch as they go through their stages and see what develops and how. We feel the joy and the sorrow as if it were us. Ms. Tatums puts you right back in High School. Beautifully done.
3 Wingmen and a Baby by Daisy Prescott The Wingmen are back at it again, bringing us loads of laughter and fun. Tom is in rare form continuing to dig himself in big trouble as the big day approaches. Actually that isn't anything new for Tom but being committed is. Join in the fun and laugh at and with the rest of the gang. Great addition to the box set since you are always assured of a great read from Ms. Prescott
I could go on and on with individual reviews but they are all amazing and worthy of high praise. I have to admit I was out done by the quality of the books in this box set. I mean normally there is one or two that I could live without but not this time. The stories do have their hot and steamy parts but mostly they are heart warming melt the iceberg around your heart type of reads. The kind that if you are a softy like me leave you wishing you had more tissue. Yes I admit to harboring some really un-lady like reactions to some of the sub-villains wanted to do vicious things to them. But the guys warmed your heart and your innards (my daughter refers to it as panty-soup) and the women just made you root for them to get their man. The stories are tastefully sinful including some BDSM, table tops, love letters/diary entries, banshees, and more. Such a diverse group of submissions and I loved every single one of them. Thanks to each Author for making this read wonderful!!!. That's all I will mention you need to check out this box set. Take a look at the amazing line up because all I shared was enough to make you curious. HAHAHA
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I have fallen in love with the Wagner men since the moment I caught a glimpse of their chivalrous manner, muscled bodies, and rose inked biceps in When Things Go Wrong. My attraction has only grown with each book in the Cheaters series and I couldn't wait to experience Chloe and Axel's surprising love story that grips our hearts just as much as the other books about the gorgeous Wagner brothers. Chloe and Axel are a love born out of Axel's need to protect a lost soul and Chloe's desperation to end it all. Fate steps in to give them a love that burns bright and strong in a short amount of time.
Chloe is at the lowest point in her life, turning her back on her family after a tragic night that destroyed her and now feels that she has no choice but to plummet to her death. That is until Axel spies a girl with ragged clothing and a beautiful face and becomes her white knight. Not long thereafter her heart is the only part of her that is taking a tumble. Chloe's troubled heart spoke to me and I couldn't wait to see her experience all the heat and kindness that she receives from Axel.
Axel Wagner is a man who is pulling himself out of the depths of an evil past and taking a more respectable path and on the road to redemption is a beautiful forlorn angel who captures his soul. Secrets and danger surround her but that doesn't stop him from falling for her and wanting to give her the best of him and a better life. Axel has taken my emotions for a ride and I have yet to return. He is by far my favorite Wagner and holds a special place in my heart... sorry Scar, Ace, and Cash.
Lacey Silks delivers a story that gives us a happy ending where her readers thought that there wasn't one. She never fails to create a tale that brings more depth to her characters along with more suspense and a healthy dose of steam. I am glad to have met each one of the Wagner men and watch them fall in love and protect their own. I am sad to see this chapter of Lacey's characters end but happy to have gotten to know them. I look forward to whichever characters Lacey decides to seduce us with next. Chloe is a surprising addition to a wonderfully intriguing series and I highly recommend for a fictional world full of mystery, unexpected turns, and characters that keep you guessing.
I received this e-book free from instafreebie in exchange for an honest review. Setting: various Genre: romance anthology Fourteen books, all but one clearly romance. That one is paranormal, with romance a slight consideration. It is Banshee by Sarah M Cradit. Pretty odd. Almost literary enough to not quite fit this collection. The majority of these stories are well written enough, and absent glaring errors of grammar and formatting. There were some problems with the usual - to, two, too; they're, their, there; and lie, lay, laid... And either misspellings or typos. But overall, they were average. Plots and characters were mostly fine, and the stories were pretty enjoyable. Some stories I liked, a couple I hated, either because I didn't like the characters, or I just don't like the particular sub-genre, such as ménage. Some of the stories were outright erotica, rather than romance. Not every story, such as the aforementioned Banshee, has a happy ending. So, if the majority of the 14 books are average, why four stars instead of three? Any collection with a Jacqueline Sweet is worth the price. In this case, Tutoring the Wolf, written with Devon March, is a great YA/new adult story about a full of herself witch and a wolf shifter at a magical school. No, nothing like Hogwarts. I read this story as a standalone before I got this collection and was delighted to see it included. Right by V. J. Chambers is a lighthearted look at an assassin, and a goombah with daddy issues. Erotica first, romance second. We get the HEA anyway. Witch in the Window is a nice new adult romance about a witch and a demon. It's okay, but has an inconclusive ending. Probably a more-to-come situation. Two Wingmen and a Baby by Daisy Prescott is more a vignette than story. A sort of epilogue to Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat. Donnelly visits his old wingman, John Day, and the two spend the day taking care of John's daughter. I had to stop reading this and check out John's story, which precedes Donnelly's, but apparently love on Whidbey Island started with an even earlier book. I guess I have some reading to do. For me, any anthology that includes something from an author I enjoy, plus introduces me to someone new, is worth the time spent reading and reviewing said anthology. There's sure to be something in here for just about anyone.

RED HOT SIZZLE-SCORCHING ROMANCES TO FILL YOUR SUMMER NIGHTS WITH!
TUTORING THE WOLF; by Jacqueline Sweet with Devon March
Penrose Academy is where witches, wizards, and shifters tap into their skills of magic, learn control and prepare them for careers; a bit like Harry Potter with a sultry adult twist.
HOW THEY MEET; Gloomy skies fall on snooty Cassie Blake when she fails an important test, her professor claiming her ideas are outstanding but fall short because she lacks heart. Cassie never failed; failing meant her arranged marriage would be retracted leaving her without a future and angry parents. The professor gives her the chance to make up the test. Her mother the dean of Penrose makes a deal with her to tutor a student; if she failed at that, then she would have to take an easier class and continue with her parents planned future for her. Malcolm Sheppard is heart stopping gorgeous, had a content life as a musician with his bad boy ways until he was bitten. Lucky enough to find a pack willing to help him his Alpha sends him to Penrose to learn how to control his wolf and tap into his magic. Failing all his classes and unable to play his guitar without damaging it leaves him downhearted with a chip on his shoulder.
ABSOLUTELY RELISHED and was pleasantly surprised with this fast paced well written magical romance. The story is filled with impressive characters, breathtaking scene descriptions, and witty dialogue. Malcolm and Cassie’s relationship is far from dull, but then again who wants boring; their romance is filled with fiery sensual passion. A heart-melting conclusion makes this a most entertaining and gratifying read. If you treasure fantasy romance this is certainly a terrific set for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my honest review}. In the world of fantasy romance, the possibilities are endless, but always fascinating. Without reservations, I recommend this set.
Dream On is a beautiful trademark story of the brilliant Blair Babylon. What you have in your hand is an incredible testament of immeasurable and unstoppable love and hope that will fill every crack and crevice in your heart and soul. Her stories touch and change you like nothing else can. They show you what love is at its core all the while living in the real world where things don’t go as planned and yet they turn out better than it was thought possible. Life is messy, confusing, and downright hard at times, but as long as you allow love and hope to permeate and fill your world, life will turn out better than your wildest dreams.
Georgie has a single-minded focus right now. She has a goal she longs to reach and fulfill. It’s more than just a checkbox on a list to her. It proves to her and that she is enough. That she is OK, and that she isn’t a failure. Will Georgie allow Alexandre to do what he does best in loving her completely and perfectly, or will the Ice Princess refuse to be sidelined when her precious goal is in sight?
Just when I couldn’t love this couple more, I see this beautiful vulnerability that cracks my heart open and reminds me of the breathtaking love that these two have for each other. Watching Alexandre simply love Georgie for who she is and what she means to him blows my mind and brings tears to my eyes. This story brings hope and healing to the troubled heart and the weary mind. Treasure these moments because they shape and mold those we love and cherish.
Blair never fails to delight and tug at my heart strings at the same time. She is a master with the complicated and shows that hope and love truly does conquer all. I have learned to savor each of her stories as if they were a fine wine that once gone will never return. They will always be a huge burning flame in my life that serve to encourage, remind, and rejuvenate my heart.
I hate to admit I have only read one story from this series so far and I am by far blown away with this author. She touches you somewhere so deep with such passion it's hard not to feel her words.
Chloe by Lacey Silks is outstanding. If I weren't already a fan, this book would have clinched it for me. From the opening page, my heart sped up, the despair that Chloe felt to put herself in such a position. She was raped and by no less than her boyfriend (now ex of course) and his friends. She leaves so she doesn't bring shame to her family, who has no idea what has happened to her. When she almost takes her life is when Axel Wagner comes into her life. He saves her in more than one way but the journey along the way will grip your heart so tightly it's as if you are there experiencing everything she feels. Axel is no saint but all the same he is my hero. My heartbeat hastens with the man he is, how he stands by a stranger to provide a ray of hope. This story is deep and dark at times yet it is like a beacon drawing you in. It's impossible not to fall in love with these two characters. To be drawn into their story.
This is part of her "Cheaters series". It can be read alone but I highly recommend starting from the start. The previous book "Broken Cheaters" already had these characters developed and this is the icing on top of a very sweet series. I'll be honest and say that I cried my eyes out on so many occasion between the two books. It was difficult in an emotional sense but so worth the outcome and heartache that accompanied the journey. I can't say enough positive phrases or praises when it comes to this author. You really need to experience her writing style first hand. With that said, I'm sure this box set has so many great stories to offer yet this is the only one I have yet to read. This one alone is well worth the small cost spent.
Dream on - Blair Babylon A hot to trot short that continues with the story of Xan and Georgie from the Billionaires in Disguise saga, it will have you burning with desire in no time at all. With so much going on all at once, Xan and Georgie are almost late for Lizzy and Theo's wedding, of which she is a co-maid of honor. And of all days, today is the day for something special....but will they ever find the time? Georgie is in panic mode and Xan is still hurting, but will they make it through the ceremony? And what's up with Rae? So many questions! Be prepared....you will be left hanging somewhat!
Yours – Kim Linwood This is a bit of a spin off of Mine, where we have the pleasure of getting to better know Danny, Hunter’s best friend, and Bianca, one of the unsuccessful candidates from the “Bachelor” type show that was produced on Hunter/Liz’s island (another awesome book you should read if you haven’t already). After being separated for over a month since the show, Danny and Bianca are off on a cruise, unknowingly provided by Hunter, in the beautiful Caribbean. After only one day on the ship, Bianca receives a phone call that changes their futures. Well written and extremely easy to follow, this short will have you rolling on the floor laughing at times, and crying like a baby at others. I have yet to read one of Kim’s books that I didn’t like, and this one is no exception. A great love story that will leave you feeling warm all over, it is a standalone, complete with it’s own happy ever after. Well worth the read.
I received a ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Received these stories for my honest review and really liked them. Enjoyed them a lot with the amusing situations, the dialogs, comments and characters that stimulated my imagination trying to image their face expressions with the situations that were going on. I’m going to go for the rest of the box set to continue my enjoyment. Too Much for You by Sky Corgan A lusty woman tired of waiting for Mr. Right and two hunks males wanting for more made an amusing, interesting and erotic story. Steamy hot and easy to read story that made me laugh with the characters and their witty comments. Like how the author developed the story that despite been a short one had enough details to satisfy my curiosity and enjoy it. Yours by Kim Linwood Very amusing, refreshing, interesting and entertaining story with two of the secondary characters from Mine story. Liked how the author developed the plot with some tender moments, funny and colorful characters that made me laugh a lot with their comments and the hot scenes between Danny and Bianca. Danny had to deal with his insecurities to secure the love of his life and have his HEA. Liked the story. Taking Charge by Shannon Macallan Changing roles in here. Miranda was an experience and aggressive young female and Jack, the tender lamb. I laughed a lot with their situation and how the author developed the plot. The story was sweet with good emotions and for me that had not read Jack’s parents story it left me intrigued and think I’m going to look for it.
What could be more awesome than 14 stories, in one book? 14 wonderful stories from 14 awesome authors! There is definitely something for you here!!!
Dream On by Blair Babylon
I have to admit that I love to read about the Blair's Billionaires in Disguise trio: Rae, Lizzy and Georgie, I can't get enough of them.
This book, is just a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day; a drop of rain on a scorching summer; and a sudden breeze on a dry day. Like all of Blair's story, this is one read that you will definitely savor: every word, every nuance, and every line.
This short read does not detract from the author's awesome writing. As a matter of fact, it will give you bits of the trio to keep you satisfied until the next Blair Babylon fix.
Chloe by Lacey Silks
After reading Trish and Axel's Broken Cheaters, I am a bit apprehensive to read Chloe's. After all, we know how it will turn out in the end. But the thing is, she also has a story she wants to tell me, and she deserves to be heard.
Like Lacey Silks' other Cheaters series, this will break your heart and then make it better. This book will give you hope, warm your heart and make you fall in love. I can't believe that there will be no more stories about the Wagner brothers. I will miss them terribly.
I love anthologies because I usually find a new-to-me author whose writing I enjoy. In Red Hot Sizzle, there are plenty of good authors to discover or enjoy again.
I received a complimentary copy of one of the stories in this anthology in exchange for an honest review, and based the group of authors in this anthology, I'm sure the rest of the stories will be just as good.
Banshee is an excellent lagniappe from Sarah Cradit that adds a new and interesting twist to her House of Crimson & Clover series.
Giselle Deschanel was one of the family members taken in a questionable car accident. However, she didn’t completely die. Her paranormal capabilities allowed her to inhabit other humans and take on their lives. With artful cunning, Giselle body-hops her way to the love of her life only to find the secret to inhabiting a little too late.
In a clever twist, Banshee ends in full circle with Giselle’s current body the same age she was when she was in the infamous Deschanel car crash. This latest installment of the House of Crimson & Clover left me excited for more of Ms. Cradit’s epic saga.
I had the pleasure of reading two from this anthology as ARCs. Dream On and Chloe. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the anthology soon! Dream On Georgie and Xan, these two are awesome. I love how she holds him together and he does the same for her. Royalty and rock stars. The mix really doesn’t get much better oh and the men are hot. The women are fire crackers! It brings you back to the lives of Georgie & Xan – a quick peek so to speak as you move through Blair’s series. It’s a very quick read and leaves you wanting more. Loved it. Chloe This was definitely a different read. As the last book in the series, you know what happens to all the characters. This story takes you back to Chloe. It's her story...all the ups and downs.
It was weird going in to read Chloe. I know what happens to her and I was really hesitant to actually read it. I am so glad I did. Chloe's story actually answered a lot of questions brought up in the Cheaters series.
Great end to a great series. Chloe is definitely the best way to end it as her story brings the whole series together and strangely, you could say brings closure.
I am speechless! Blair you CANNOT do this to your readers leaving it in such a cliffhanger after saying you will take a break for a few months! I was so excited reading and enjoying the book, thinking she deserves her well earned time off, when suddenly it ends leaving me with open-mouthed. But I forgive you because I know time will go by quickly and I will be able to read more of your story's that I love so much. The short story it self was packed with so many emotions and the characters feeling so real I was laughing one mintue and heartbroken for them the next.
Bumpy Ride by Olivia Rigal
Great quick read! This is my first book I read in the MC series from Olivia Rigal and that is what threw me a little of balance. With the change in writing style and nicknames used, I had to get use to that but apart from that I loved the story. It is a standalone you do not have to read the others to understand this book, but I did get curious about the other storylines too and to see what keeps happening in the MC series.
RED HOT SIZZLE Anthology by Fourteen amazing authors. First time, brand new romance stories, that can only be found in this Boxed set.
Filled with passion, lust, magic, paranormal, sexy cowboys, a rock stars, shifters, military men, motorcycle guys, lumberjacks, and so much more.
