Wasn’t Quan-Chi able to bring her back from the dead and with mind control or trickery have her work with a bunch of assholes and kill a bunch of heroes including her own daughter? Why would he keep her as a revenant when she seems to be way weaker and unable to win any fight that’s given to her.
Seeing her brag about how she beat up Cassie’s mom and killed her friends easily only to be knocked out minutes afterwards is pretty telling of how threatening and effective these undead heroes are.

But if the bad guys are smart or strong than how will the good guys win every fight and prevail? A villain has to be a balance of threatening and incompetent otherwise they’d win in the end or be complete goofballs that can’t be taken seriously.

MK 11 is the first time in a long time the heroes actually won.
MKDA: Quan and Shang wing.
MKD: Is a draw, Onaga is beaten but that just keeps the current starus quo of most heroes are dead or currpoted like Dark Raiden and Zombie Liu Kang.
MKA: Everyone dies and Shao Kahn wins.
MK9: Shao Kahn is beaten but now Earthrealm is wekaened as Shinnok invades.
MKX: Raiden is corrupt again and the fallen heroes are revanents now.

I think Deadly Alliance was the last time the bad guys actually won except for Armageddon which got timey wimey’d out of existence. Now the good guys just win every fight outside of cutscenes. Their victories may be bittersweet because they’ve lost people on the way or have changed for the worse through all the fighting but it doesn’t change the fact that when a bad guy steps up to plate, you’re gonna see them on their backs pretty soon. It’s the result of only being able to play certain characters throughout story mode.
I mean when was the last time Reptile won an actual fight? He went from secret hidden boss to 1st round chump in MK9 making him their equivalent of Glass Joe now.

Well, Aftermath ended up becoming a secret villain story mode DLC in disguise. Heck you can even choose the ending where Sang Tsung wins.
